I was someone who was raised on publicly funded science.  My childhood was build on The Magic School Bus, Bill Nye the Science Guy, and other NSF science education projects. I feel there is a strong obligation to give knowledge back to the public in whatever way is possible.  Below are some of my outreach projects, which I will update with pictures and more information as time goes on. Please contact me if you have any interest!

Tempe Center for the Arts - TEDxASU

I was selected as one of ten speakers for the 2018 TEDxASU event.  I gave a 12 minute presentation to a crowd of 600 on the interesting world of space engineering technology and where we're going in the next few decades.

NASA Space Grant Fellowship

I received this fellowship for designing a semester-long project with a local middle school.  I took NASA-approved 8th grade science lessons and added building robotic arms to the mix. I completed the first semester of this in spring of 2018 and finished the same project for the 2019 spring semester.

Mentor Residency at Scottsdale Center for the Arts

The NASA Space Grant program I put together was inspired by a mentor residency I had at SCA.  I visited a middle school classroom for several months and taught kids to build digging robots and lunar rovers. Read about it here!

Scottsdale Center for the Arts - Ignite Phoenix #18

The Ignite Phoenix event was a unique, TED-style presentation at Scottsdale Center for the Arts. An 850-seat sold-out event, each speaker was given five minutes and 15 slides to talk about their passion.
