I'm just a small town Indiana guy who happened to go from dirt roads to studying dirt for lunar mobility. Recently I received my PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University. Along the way, I interned at NASA Kennedy Space Center, NASA-CalTech Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and gave public talks including Phoenix Comicon, Ignite Phoenix and TEDxASU

Examples of My Work
Vehicle Mobility ExperimentsI perform vehicle mobility experiments on granular media. Screw propelled vehicles have always fascinated me and I began here.
|
Vehicle Mobility SimulationsI became curious about simulation as a design tool. We've begun to replicate these experiments in simulated environments with an eye towards space applications.
|
Public SpeakingA large influence in my life has been publicly funded science. I grew up watching The Magic School Bus and Bill Nye the Science Guy. I've been fortunate enough to receive fellowships for graduate school. Any opportunity for science education and entertainment I try to take.
